The expressions of the silent heart
It is great to hear from a scientist Albert Estienne, who changed the words with his inventions. “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” It is important to inspire thinking creatively to ensure the holistic development of an individual and this was the very objective when MAPS High International designed a week long “MAPS Expression 2012” under English Literary Week programme dedicated to the theme ‘Teen vibes’. Creative writing, the first day programme of MAPS High Expressions 2012 was held at the school campus on 9th September 2012. The programme grabbed attention for the very active participation of the students. Among the prompts given which were carefully chosen considering the teen issues and their mental and social repercussions, students were given chance to select any one topic and produce a writing regardless of the genre of the piece of work. Myriad talents of the students reflected upon their works where the flows of thoughts were capable of touching one’s heart. The selected entries will be published in the Souvenir which will be released on the day of closing ceremony.
