A day made by students….
MAPS International High School PTA joined together with MAPS International High School students for a successful fundraising “Working Day” on 9th February 2013 that raised money for the school.
The event was a part of the school’s fundraiser for students co-curricular activities. The “working day” venture was held as an inter- house competition in which students did work such as cleaning, writing down reports ,and selling cupcakes and other treats as fundraisers for their school activities. Students gathered at school at 9 am, were grouped into houses and sent in groups across the city. Students returned to school at 4pm with enthusiastic faces after their successful work looking forward to the results of their fundraising competition.
The House that earned the highest was Innovators house. In addition to being a fundraiser, it was an opportunity for our students to be involved in a fun and beneficial activity. The outcome of the students hardworking were amazing. It was the hard work of the students and the cooperation of the parents, businesses, organizations and individuals throughout the city which made it a successful day.
